Bobinsana is a shrubby tree, growing approximately 4–6 m tall, adorned with delicate, powder-puff-like pink to reddish blossoms characteristic of the Mimosa family. It is found in riparian zones of the Amazon.
It has been traditionally employed for rheumatism, colds, as a general energising tonic. It is sometimes added to the Ayahuasca brew and is considered a plant teacher by the indigenous people that use it.
It is also utilised for lucid dreaming purposes.
